We’re thrilled to see internal staff developing their careers with Discovery Parks! Recently a number of internal candidates have accepted promotions to park management and assistant park management roles. Read their stories below!
Deb Creighton
Promoted to Assistant Manager, Forster NSW
What's the best thing about your new role?
“I have settled into my new role as Assistant Manager with ease as I have a great support network and amazing Managers, Mick and Jane. Jane saw my strengths and capabilities back when I started with the company almost four years ago as a Housekeeper and I have grown into the roles of Receptionist, Office Manager and now Assistant Manager.
I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead in my role as Assistant Manager and supporting my managers in all areas. Mick and Jane are about to go on some well deserved annual leave. In their absence I will continue to promote the Discovery Way, provide the utmost service to our guests and support the team members.
One of the best things about my new role is being part of the big development happening here at Discovery Parks Forster. Very exciting times ahead.”
Fran & Kelvin Gulliver
Promoted to Park Managers, Whyalla SA
How are you finding your new role?
Fran: “I am enjoying my new role as Park Manager at Whyalla. Kelvin and I have been fortunate to have received
some great training while at Discovery Parks Barossa (thank you Jacky and Bill!) which has given me the confidence to
move to this role as Park Manager. The Whyalla region has a lot more to offer than I first expected and with the proposed developments it’s going to be a busy place. There is a great team here and I look forward to working with them to make Whyalla a better park.”
What's the best thing about your new role?
Kelvin: “Fran and I have arrived here at an exciting time for the Whyalla region and the potential development and business it will bring to the park. I am looking forward to using the skills I have already gained from my time at Barossa and Lake Bonney while continuing to develop my skills and career development as well as spending my days off down the beach fishing!”
