AUSTRALIAN AXEMANS HALL OF FAME

Highlighting the sport of wood chopping which was developed as a matter of course between Bushmen, the Australian Axeman's Hall of Fame and Timberworks is the national museum showcasing Australia's wood-chopping sporting champions including the 12 Legends.

Just 15 minutes out of Devonport, stroll through the four hectares of raspberry plantings before enjoying a breakfast, lunch or snack of delicious berry creations including icecream, cakes and muffins.

MERSEY BLUFF LIGHTHOUSE

Visit the Cherry Shed year round for an exciting cherry based cafe menu and various products. Come in spring to see the marvellous cherry blossoms or visit from mid-December to mid-February to purchase hand picked freshly washed cherries.

Just 15 minutes from Discovery Parks - Devonport, Turner Beach Berry Patch offers fresh fruit Smoothies Ice creams, coffee, cakes and the opportunity to pick your own berries.

HELLYERS ROAD DISTILLERY

Visit the home of Australia's largest distiller of  single malt whisky started in 1825 by one of the first European explorers to set foot in the rugged interior of north west Tasmania. Take part in the 'Whisky Walk' a fully guided tour, marvel at the visitors centre and  tasting bar or even enjoy lunch whilst enjoying tranquil views across the rolling landscape of the picturesque Emu Valley.

ASHGROVE TASMANIAN FARM CHEESE

Try creamy farm ice-cream, fresh bottled milk, cheese, cream and butter.  Stock up on provisions, including gourmet Tasmanian produce, cheese platters, grilled cheese sandwiches and locally roasted coffee made with award winning farm milk.

Sneak a peek through the viewing window, where you will get a behind the scenes look at cheesemaking using traditional techniques with modern methods.

SPREYTON CIDER CO

Just 10 minutes from Devonport, Spreyton Cider Co brews cider right on the site of their family run orchards. Using traditioanl techniques with a modern twist the Cidery is open daily for tastings and sales of cider, fresh juices and fruit.

SEVEN SHEDS BREWERY MEADERY HOP GARDEN

Owned and operated by Willie Simpson and Catherine Stark, Seven Sheds produces its flagship Kentish Ale and seasonal beers as well as honey wines and melomels. Opened in May 2008, the Seven Sheds brewery, meadery and hop garden provides a purpose built tasting room, brewery tours and cellar door sales. 25 minutes out of Devonport, its located on the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail.
